Once again, situate the brackets outside the frame of the window before installing them. Keep all the brackets aligned and at the same level. When installing the brackets, leave 1/8 inch of space between them. This will allow the shade to move more easily.
Determine whether you have purchased a loop or a spring roller shade. For the continuous loop shade, the plastic inserts must be pressed onto the mounting brackets. Place these window shades in the mounting bracket and then insert the round pin onto the plastic insert and mounting bracket.
For the spring roller shade, place these window shades onto the brackets. Locate the circular hole and insert the round end pin into it. Finish off following the steps above, placing the end of these window shades onto the slot on the other mounting bracket.
Now you will want to test your window shades to make sure it’s functional and easy to operate. When working with spring roller shades, lower the shade 16″ from the top to tighten the spring. After this is done, remove it and roll it back up. Re-insert your roller into its brackets and check again to ensure tightness. Be careful to not apply too much tension on your window shades.
